Is Samsung short changing google?

The android platform was released to an audience locked with iphones, an endless list of icons satiating there endless hunger for a really customizable interface. The original android phone, the g1 or htc dream, wasn't exactly a beautiful beast. It was thick and the inside didn't contain any cliché beauty either. It was what was on the screen that was really exiting... coming on 4 years later, android is the worlds most popular phone platform powering countless amounts of smartphones from dinky little wildfire's to monsters like the sensation and samsung's galaxy s 2. That leads us on to googles series of 'pure' devices; the second, the nexus one, was a brilliant phone. It carried all the latest technology's and a beautiful unibody courtesy of taiwans HTC and it was indeed pick of the HTC crop for a good long time. Then for reasons unknown, google switched to samsung as the maker of future nexus devices. Judging by the brilliant galaxy s, the next nexus would surely be a complete stonker. To our dismay, it was a nexus one with a plastic body. This came as a great shock as but a little while later; samsung released the dual core beast that has been given phone of the year award by more people than i care to mention: The galaxy s 2. This ruined the nexus s in all aspects and seemed a tad unfair on google, they signed up fo some inovative kit and what they got could be even considered a downgrade! Next up, with quad core technology quite feasible in a phone, samsung released the google nexus 'prime'. A dual core phone that was almost the same as the galaxy s 2 in every respect save for a slightly updated screen and a WORSE camera. With the galaxy s 3 looming, will google continue with samsung or go back to old HTC?

Heres a tip google: Switch back to HTC!

What do you think? Have the samsung sourced nexus' been worth it?
